Jay County hosts broadband fireside chat

Jay County Development Corporation recently hosted a fireside chat focused on broadband.  Joining the chat was Gary Thompson – an American Connection Corps Fellow serving as an AmeriCorps Service Member with the East Central Indiana Regional Planning District, an initiative of Lead for America and the American Connection Project.

Thompson and Travis Richards of the Jay County Development Corporation covered:

  • Definitions of broadband terms
  • Speed testing efforts done throughout the county in conjunction with Purdue Center for Regional Development
  • The county’s digital distress
  • Telehealth
  • Potential broadband expansion projects
  • Cybersecurity
  • Digital inclusion
