Jay County Community Development

Jay County Community Development was formed in 2001 as a partner to Jay County Economic Development. Since that time, Jay County Community Development has brought over 3 million grant dollars into the community. Along with grant services, Jay County Community Development participates in many committees and activities in the community such as United Way 211 Committee, Portland Historic Preservation Commission, Portland Economic Development Corporation, Dunkirk Improvement Committee, Portland Rotary Club, Women's Giving Circle though the Portland Foundation, and the Jay County Chamber of Commerce Board.

A variety of services are offered in the Jay County Community Development Office, such as OCRA Grant Writing and Administration assistance to the Jay County Communities, Small Business assistance with SBIR grants and programs, and other grants that cities and towns are eligible for. Another service provided by Jay County Community Development is the review of grant proposals before submission for any applications being submitted by a Jay County business or not for profit organization.
